Brother Kelly Miller Smith (Spring 1999) Admitted Into Partnership at Deloitte LLP

Leading international audit & assurance, consulting, tax, and risk and financial advisory conglomerate Deloitte LLP announced the admittance of Brother Kelly Miller Smith, III into the firm's partnership. With the promotion, Brother Smith becomes a Principal in Cyber Risk Services, based in Rosslyn, Virginia. He rejoined Deloitte in 2007 as a Manager, after distinguishing himself at Booz Allen Hamilton and Zel Technologies.

Brother Smith is a Cyber Risk Leader helping Federal Executives use Cyber Risk Monitoring to make risk-informed security decisions. He brings extensive leadership experience across several federal government agencies and private companies on issues of risk management, cybersecurity engineering and analytics, incident response, disaster recovery, business continuity, and cyberthreat intelligence.

Kelly is focused primarily in the Federal Civilian market segment with a specialization in Tax Submission Processing.He is the co-author of the whitepaper "Beneath the Surface of a Cyberattack: A Deeper Look at Federal Sector Impacts" in addition to several classified publications. Kelly is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), Certified Public Sector Continuity Professional (CPSCP) and Project Management Professional (PMP).

Kelly is a graduate of the Fletcher School at Tufts University in cooperation with Harvard, where he studied International Security and International Business after he received a BS in Chemistry from Morehouse College. In addition to Deloitte, he has worked for several organizations, including Booz Allen Hamilton, Zeltech, the RAND Corporation, Lockheed Martin, and others. He is member of the CALIBR Global Leadership Network and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
