Brother Rev. Dr. Homer Littlefield McCall, Sr., an initiate of Alpha Rho Chapter in Fall 1958 (Heavy 11) and a pastor for more than 40 years, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019. Brother McCall was ordained into the ministry by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and marched with him in Montgomery, Alabama during the infancy of the Civil Rights era. He graduated from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia in 1962.
Rev. Dr. McCall was the former pastor of St. John A.M.E Church in Huntsville, Alabama, and Chaplain Emeritus and Retired Assistant Professor of English and Foreign Languages at Alabama A&M University. He also served as the Dean of Ministers for the Ninth Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
